Understanding Paranormal

A lot of people jump back whenever they hear the word paranormal because they misunderstand what the word truly means. I know this because I was one of those who did. To make it clear, paranormal means according to Dictionary.com, “of or pertaining to the claimed occurrence of an event or perception without scientific explanation, as psychokinesis, extrasensory perception, or other purportedly supernatural phenomena”. In other words, the word can be interpreted as “not normal”. Normally, when you first hear the word, you may just think about spirits and witchcraft. This is true but that is not all that the word relates to. If you take a look at our website, you will see a wide range of categories that we cover besides spirits and the supernatural world. Other categories that we cover are extraterrestrial life, horrific horrors, urban legends, and even science fiction. This is of course not all that we cover but I just wanted to give you an idea of how diversified our content is.

You will encounter by searching this website information that covers a wide range of categories. You can read about historical battles on one hand and may read about ghost encounters on another. Don’t be intimidated by the word paranormal because it is not all that it seems!

Ghost of Elvis

Elvis Presley was one of the biggest icons in American history. He was the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, and had millions of fans wherever he went. On August 16th, 1977 Elvis was rushed to the hospital with a heart attack. The 42 year old shockingly then died shortly after reaching the hospital.

People did not want to admit the fact that their hero had died so young and suddenly. Elvis sightings started to be reported all over the place. The rumors were that Elvis had faked his own death. The reason behind this was to get away from all the fans and reporters. Another theory was that he put away major drug dealers in a top secret witness protection program and those drug dealers threatened to kill him so he went to hide.

When it was confirmed that Elvis was dead and that he was no where else disguised as someone else, his ghost started to appear. A typical ghost sighting of Elvis took place on December 20th, 1980. A truck driver decided to pick up a hitchhiker, and when he introduced himself, the man replied he was Elvis Presley. The driver didn’t believe it at first but then he realized that this was truly the king himself. He also had to be dropped off on the block where he lived. People have also reported seeing his ghost in and around the house where he lived and died which is called the Graceland.

I do not charge anyone for an investigation, this is for reshearch. We do sell our information and videos and audios to various producers and publishers. This covers our expense from equiptment and travel. We also percipate in seminars around the country and lectures on the unexplained. I started this about 25 years ago, long before any tv show was popular. I am not looking to get rich, just make a modest living and enjoy adventures in my retirement.

Our Opening Investigation Prayer

Heavenly Father, God of the Universe,

All metaphysical phenomena (all) are characteristics, traits, abilities or experiences of our spiritual nature, emanating from our souls.

The reasons we are so confused by the variety of metaphysical/spiritual phenomena is because religions, primarily Christianity, especially the Roman Catholic Church, banned most of our important spiritual abilities and traits as "heretical,’ “demonic,” or “no longer occurring.”

I have seen a dark shadows all around my house, I see somebody going into my kitchen walking up and down the stairs, my brother has experienced some scary stuff in his room, somebody choking him and walking around his bed, I heard foot steeps in his room, I also had things just thrown around, my mom was cleaning the living room and she was hit with remote controler, that same day when i came home from work all my stuff in my room was all over the floor. I also recorded something on my tv the other day, its a male voice really deep and scary sounding that sounds like it says now go, or now no, also there is ants in my house all over and tiny little black bugs they seem to come out of nowhere. All this started when me and my mom saw what i can only describe is devil evil demon, http://www.mysticaluniverse.com/mystical_creat ... it looked like that. We were driving one night and saw it on the side of the street, it was gone in a blink.The house is not old it was build in 1986, it just has a negative feeling. There is no air and sometimes I feel like I can not breath, I get cold sweats every morning at 4am.What is going on can somebody give me any answers?

I feel that some spirits cross over into the Light either because they have completed their objective here..are guided by relatives or spiritguides to the white light.

I also feel many cross over to the other side, the dark side(stars wars wasnt far off in story :).

Depending on how they have lived their lives here, many have not gained the mature mental experiences required to come to their own accessment of what is on the other side.. possibly only seeing fear, so this is where their energy places itself. This is where we come in if we come across a child spirit..we can help them cross over.

Then you have Spirits who have incased themselves in negativity of hate and anger, longing revenge, loneliness, even fear of going to the light , feeling they will have to face all they have done. Many children are afraid of punishment, or believe their actions were bad & will not be forgiven ,therefore the fear sets in.. not allowing the child to see beyond thier own fear.. not allowing the child to see the white light.

Sadly many children spirits do not realize they have passed & continuously attempt to communicate with us for help, which many times we mistake for just a ghost haunting.

Sanatorium 9/12/2008
Our day started in the public library, looking up information on the location. After this about 4:15 PM we headed out to the location for the investigation, which is about 5 minutes away. As we got there we took a quick tour around the building.As we got down the stairs to the basement we noticed a standee of a famous cartoon for children right by the door way. We started to walk down the hall way as we reached the end of the first hall way we turned around to check the rest of the basement. I started to walk off thinking the group was right behind me. I started to see an orb with my naked eyes. Thinking I was seeing things because my eyes were getting use to the dark and we had flash lights on, I was just seeing spots due to the flash lights. I started to look around and the spot was in the same place more or less the only thing was it was moving closer to me. I did re-check it about 3 - 4 times. At this point the orb turned into a little boy. Not believing my eyes I shined my light on him then off him, I did this about 3 times. At this point I was trying to get the team to look where I was looking and saw they were many FEET behind me and Matt ran up to me I turned back to show him the little boy and poof he was gone. I was in awe it was only about 4:45 PM, I asked to see if anyone else saw anything. But no one else saw anything, I asked the woman who is the keeper of the building if there were any spirits who follow people. She smiled and said there is an old man and a little boy who do follow people around the building. I told her what I saw and she smiled and said she thought it was the little boy checking us out. So on ward we went as we were going along I kept hearing footsteps behind us, we walked over this little bridge thing everyone in front of me came to a dead stop and I was the last in line but someone run into me as a cold chill went up my back. The small tour was over so we started to head up stairs and standee of the cartoon had moved to the other side of the hall (Matt Noted).We went outside for a small break while waiting for the other team members to show up. We were outside talking to the keeper she said that the build and she spirits were happy it was the weekend, she also noted that the spirits liked us a lot.About 5 - 10 minutes after this one of the other teams showed up. About this time the keepers were getting ready to go home. We were unloading the vehicles and taking our things to the conference room. After this we went back out to talk for a little bit as we were walking out I saw a nurse from the 1930’s in the white dress, stockings, shoes with a gray or black petticoat, white little hat and her hair in a bun walking for oh about 3 seconds no one else saw this as well. I started to tell everyone about this, I was happy it wasn’t even dark and I had seen 2 spirits. Monica took the other team on a tour of the building, while they were checking out the building I was getting ready in the meeting room I had my Mp3 player on and someone or something was turning it off and messing with it.At about 8PM we were all there at the building and we talked for a bit and ate. Then we all decided to break up into three groups for the night. The group I was in went to the 3rd floor first we went to a spot most females can’t be near for a long time without being not easy or hurt. As I was walking to this point I was talking to the spirits in this area of the building. When I got to the last part of the 3rd floor, I was talking to the spirits were females get hurt and I could feel what felt like someone touching my arm. So I started to use this sign as a way to answer me. I asked the spirit if my friends and I could come back at dead time (3AM the opposite of the hour Christ died) to try to talk to him over a radio shack hack, to answer me I asked for one touch was yes and two no. At this time I felt a tap on my arm, and then I asked him to tap into the direction of the room where he wanted to meet back up. About this time I told him we were going to leave but we would return. I started to leave and my knee started to hurt I didn’t think much about it but I was about to exit this area my knee started to hurt to the point I couldn’t walk so I told him I swore I would be back with my friends, I was going to be his friend and I don’t lie to friends, I love and value my friends. All of a sudden my leg quit hurting we decided to wrap up the 3rd floor, head back to the break area. As we were leaving this area I started to almost cry all I could think/ feel no matter what I did in my life I didn’t deserve this no one deserved this treatment they were treated worse then lab rats. While we were in this place we tried to get a hold of the others with the walkie-talkies they wouldn’t work inside we had to step out to get someone to hear us, I stepped back in called again got nothing then stepped out and called they heard me. A few of us went outside for a few. While we were outside talking I saw another nurse out of the corner of my eye, yet again no one else saw this and I was freaking out. Because she was as plain as day to me. This one wasn’t wearing the petticoat she is in just as much as a hurry as the last one. They were walking in the spot where a building is missing.My team was about to head out to the 2nd floor, we found foot steps lining the wall on this floor, where some one ran or walked barefoot in that area and this is an old dirty building so no one would walk around without shoes of some kind. That was about it on the 2nd floor. About an hour later we went on to the 5th I started to have problems with my chest hurting and problems breathing we walked from one corner of the building to the next as we came to the west side and there is a door that leads to a walk out sunroof / patio the door was wide open we got on the walkie-talkies to see if by chance (knowing they wouldn’t have) see if someone forgot to close the door . This door is to heavy to have the wind blow open with out having a tornado or hurricane outside the building and then it still might fight a bit. As I thought it was for sure 100% sure it was closed, I believe the other team even had pictures of it closed when they were heading out of this area. We went outside and walked around looked down at the ground and decided to head back inside. I was the last one in the door so I went to close this door (now mind you I am a bit of a heavy set girl, no reason to lie here) it took my hitting it with my hip a few times to get it to close shut. We remember a few team members earlier talking about seeing two dead pigeons with one alive between them freaked out, we went into this room to find only feathers. But in a few rooms down and over I found a dead black bird pointing to a wall. But the other team had pictures to back this story but (not saying they would lie about it). We told them about this when we went back down stairs and they had to go and check it out for themselves just to find the birds were missing. But in a few rooms down and over I found a dead black bird pointing to a wall.On the way back down we hit the 4th floor and I started to have major problems with pain in the chest and breathing. I felt like someone put a huge needle in my rib cage and was sucking the air out of my chest, I walked around a bit. But I had to end up leaving because it hurt so bad I could hardly stand on my own two feet. I almost blacked out I ran outside as fast as I could and I dropped on the ground down to my knees to try to get some fresh air. I believe it was this break poor Monica was walking in the hall way heading outside with us and she was alone she turned to she a shadow nurse not walking or running more like flowing but her legs were moving like she was walking she was moving fast and Monica ran outside just to see nothing behind her anymore. People had heard people talking, walking behind them and things of the paranormal / ghost hunting nature.We all headed back in and got some snacks talked over some of the things we have had happen to us. I was getting near 3 AM so we all got ready to continue with the investigation on the 3rd floor to try to talk to the spirit I promised I’d be back. My team and one of the others went up to 3. When we got in the area I went to the room the spirit wanted me in. I was in there trying to talk to him over the radio but we couldn’t get clear answers so I went back to the touch for answers. I asked him if he was in the room to make a corner colder then the rest of the room, after a few minutes the temperature was dropping. Someone from the other team was trying to use a K2 meter to see if we could get him to interact with us. After some tries they handed it to me but still I got nothing at all, at one point they left me alone in the room with the door closed then I started to feel like I shouldn’t be in there at that point in time so I got out and stepped out for a few moments . I went back in and began to start to try to contact him again but I didn’t feel him around anymore. So I asked if anyone else wanted a break as we were leaving I started to cry again because I felt like maybe if I hurt or kill someone else they will send me away from here. Maybe if I just did it one more time they will kill me and end all this.Monica and I headed outside we were sitting outside in lawn chairs on a porch we were talking about what just went down.. When she was up there spirits started to breath and touch her neck, she hated it she felt like someone just violated her and there nothing she could do about it since she couldn’t see them. We started to bad mouth the doctors and nurses that were on the staff. The whole time feeling like we were being watched. About 5 - 10 minutes into talking about the staff we heard someone slap a car window we both jumped up and ran inside. We were headed into the room where everyone else was in, about 6 feet from the door 2 guys pulled the door open in a hurry we both just about jumped out of our skin and screamed. We told everyone about the noise we heard, plus told the owner of the car his car has just hit pretty hard.Soon after this we wrapped it up to head home. But before we did some guys got a killer video of the door leading outside on the 5th floor. 10 minutes of asking the spirits to open and close the door, for 10 minutes it did this while be recorded on a video camera.Here is a small list of happenings during and after investigation.During :Flash lights (Going off and on)Cameras (Going dead, not closing right, no flash, and not getting any video while shooting)EVP recorders going off (Even one said it was recording but wasn’t)Mp3 player (turned itself off)Computer (turned itself off)Walkie-talkies (east hallway on 3rd floor)After :EVP recorders (Getting nothing due to them being turned off though it was on, getting static and a recorder being wiped clean before getting anything on the computer. 1 was brand NEW)Vehicles (Things that were just fixed messing up and a new battery acting up)Flashlights (still not able to work right anytime, problems keep them on)Camera (Not closing right, only getting 3 minutes of a 10 minute video)Odd things happening to members of this case :Waking up odd times of night.Having someone shake chairs, couches, beds and blankets.Seeing and hearing people or odd sounds.Odd feeling of being watched and followed.Equipment acting up or just not working.Things going on and off by themselves.Things going missing for a minute(s), day(s) or a week(s).Things opening and closing on their own.This blog / report was written by Katie Yancey. Hospital appration part 2

Well as it goes strange things keep going on. The relative that I was talking about I was sitting with was moved to another room after the second surgery. What room was it? The exact one we seen the appriation in. That pretty much peaked out the weired o meter. By the way it is hard to use a emf meter in a hospital any hour of the day. You can not get a base reading, so stick with the evp and photos. I have made some new friends after twenty three days as of today that work there. I worked my way into talking to them about paranormal. I was surprised how many of the personel actually admitted seeing and hearing things over the years of working there. There is a lot of college students who work there also for a brief time who has told me some stories of seeing things the brief time they have been there. Some of them say that they have not talked about it to anyone because they think their friends might make fun of them, but they are serious, very serious. I hope to be out of there in a few days, but it has become interesting, just don’t get caught in the stair well, talking to your self on a recorder, you WILL get a strange look or two. It will take a few weeks to go through all the evp that I have but if they are good I will put them on the website along with the photos.

What is EVP?

Electronic Voice Phenomenom (EVP) has been used for nearly a century in one form or another. Famous inventors such as Thomas Edison, Gueglielmo Marconi, Nikola Tesla and Oliver Lodge all had a drive to build devices to make 'contact with the unseen'. This was obviously a euphemism for 'contacting the dead'. Thomas Edison helped by inventing a medium for which audio could be recorded onto a gramophone and played back. He was also working on inventing a machine which could communicate with the spirit world. Sadly he passed away around 1931 without getting a chance to publish any of his notes.

In the 1930's, Scandinavian military picked up a rash of mysterious polyglot voices bleeding through the airwaves. It was initially thought they might be some form of code from the Germans as it was war time. After the war the German papers were read and nothing was found to back this up.

At the end of the 1950's, Friedrich Juergenson, a Swedish Film maker/Psychic originally from Russia, was recording a documentary. When he played the tape back he heard many extra 'voices'. He was out in the woods capturing birdsong. When he played the recording back he heard unaccountable voices on the recording. This instigated Friedrich to study EVP. He famously used a reel to reel tape device and recorded his mothers voice (Who has passed away years earlier). The reel to reel medium was a breakthrough in EVP research. Friedrich Jurgenson is considered by most to be the 'Father of EVP'.

In 1965 Latvian Philosopher and Scientist Dr Konstantin Raudive arranged to meet with Friedrich. He was fascinated by what his Swedish colleague had achieved and set up his own EVP research project. Initially Raudive went for 3 months without capturing any voices. Then he started to pick them up. Raudive employed the services of various electronic engineers to help him perfect his method of recording spirit voices. He published his first book The Inaudible become audible in 1968. An English publisher picked up this book and decided to do their own experimenting. After successfully picking up unexplainable voices on tape (One thought to be the dead mother of one of the experimenters) they republished the book in English renaming it Breakthrough: An amazing experiment in Electronic Communications with the dead. It was these publishers who coined the phrase Electronic Voice Phenomenon. Since that time a lot of people have dedicated time and effort to work on EVP research.

In the Early 1970's Raymond Cass from Hull England started his journey recording voices at his office in the centre of Hull. Cass did many years of research coming up with more than 2000 examples of EVP. Cass was the pioneer of EVP research in the United Kingdom.

In the late 1970's and early 1980's the American company 'Meta Science Foundation', headed by George W Meek, created a device that could communicate with spirit. The device was called 'Spiricom'. Mr Meeks plan was to create a product that could communicate with the dead on a regular and sustained level. Conversations were lasting over one hour in length through the 'Spiricom'. All of a sudden, the 'Spiricom' stopped working.

What are the voices?

There has been lots of research into what the voices heard on the tape actually are. There are people out there who will not accept that the voices heard are that of dead people. However there is nothing concrete to prove otherwise. The techniques used by Cass, Jurgensen and Raudive have been witnessed by men of substance and yet still the results are questioned. It is very often, in the case of the 'Inter Frequency EVPs' that people simply say they are bleed through on the radio wavebands. A good theory you think until you realise that the voice that came through actually answered a question raised or told of something relative. Also they often come through in Polyglots ( multiple tongues) and at irregular speeds, neither of these would of been used by any broadcasting company in the world.

Initially there were 3 main theories of what these voices could be.....

1) Deceased persons having survived the death of their physical bodies
2) Voices come from operators sub conscious (Psycho Kinesis)
3) Breakthrough from a parallel universe.

So far results are far in the favour of number 1.

Hospital Apparition

I have spent year’s ghost hunting, in various locations around the U.S. in strange and dirty dark spots. But last week while sitting with a relative in a large hospital in Jonesboro Ar. Nice and clean with lots of air-conditioning, my wife and I both had separate experiences at the same spot the same night. I have hunted in abandoned hospitals around, in the middle of the night as well as middle of the day. But for some reason it never occurred to me to do it there until we seen what we seen. My wife and I had been taking turns sitting up with the relative. We had a room in the guest house what was a part of the hospital, similar to a hotel room. We had to walk quiet a ways to get to the hospital room from our room, which was all in one building. The hallways in the late evening just have minimum light for the patient comfort. I was on the way to the guest house room a little after 1 a.m. going down the hall. And like everyone you glance in rooms as you go down the hall. As I was walking down the hall I looked off to my left and seen someone in a hospital gown standing by the window of patient room. That is not real common on the floor I was on in the night. I took about two steps and backed up and looked in the room again there he was in the gown by the window and just vanished in front of me. It surprised me a little but did not bother me since I have seen things like this before in other places. I glanced at the room number so I could watch it through out the week. I went on to bed and was laying there thinking about it. What a better place to hunt than an operating hospital, but what about security and the staff? Well being a retired law enforcement officer I figured “covert operation”. When I go home and come back my toys are coming with me. The very next night my wife come to relieve me, the patient was sleeping so we both went to the room. I had never mentioned it to her since she is really experienced plus we were so tired it never came up. Anyway she come to the room and we was talking laying in the bed, during pillow time, she said I need to tell you something, ok, she said when I was coming down the hall on 2 earlier I am sure I seen someone in one of the rooms. I said nothing about what I seen and let her continue. She said I saw a man standing by the window in a room down there and on the left. She continurued saying that he was standing there in a hospital gown looking across the room out the hall, with a blank look in his eyes but I could see the curtains behind him though him, I took a second glance and seen him again and he disappeared. The room was not occupied. I told her I seen the same thing the night before and told her my experience. When we left our room at sun up we walked the same hallway and found it was the same room that we had our experience in... We have kept a close eye on it for over a week and have not seen anything else. This was her first experience seeing an apparition, she was not scared but make her more interested in what I do, I have a feeling she will be more than research person. We are just there in the daytime now and probably not being around at night to investigate more. I have taken some photos of the hallways and stair wells, as well as some evp’s and I will be going through them in the next month as time comes. There are a lot of deaths in a hospital of four hundred beds or so in 24 hours. Some are not ready to go and some are just confused about what to do. If you ever get a chance to sit with a friend or relative in a hospital, don’t dread it make the most of it by doing an investigation. See what you can see and hear what you can hear. Not only does it break the boredom but it is a nice comfortable place to do it in also. Don’t be out in the open with it is my recommendations people think we are crazy anyway.
